Seasonal Changes-3

What is up friends?!

I hope you are all having a wonderful day and that the semester is treating you well. I am just here to talk to you about some ways to be prepared as a commuter who is about to face final exams!

First, and this is absolutely the most important tip I can give… LOOK AT YOUR UPCOMING SCHEDULE!!!! It is absolutely crucial that you know the date and time for each of your final exams. This will help you in so many ways. You will be able to organize and evenly divide your time, AND you will know if you need to make any adjustments to your schedule. For example, after reviewing my final exam schedule, I realized that I had an exam scheduled for 7:45 in the morning! That absolutely was not going to work for me as I would need to leave home at 5:20 to make it there on time. I resolved that issue by speaking honestly with my professor. I think the reason he was so receptive to my request was that I spoke to him promptly about the matter.

Next, it is extremely important that you communicate well with others! This seems to be the most popular time of the year for group projects/presentations/papers and it never feels good to be the weakest link. Especially if the only reason you are the weakest link is because you don’t live near campus. This is why it is crucial for you to communicate with your peers! Try your best to find an appropriate time to meet with the members of your group. If you do this and still cannot find a good time, see if you can video chat or conference call with your group members. Do your best to be present in some way, even if you can’t be physically present! It will benefit you in the long run.

These are the two biggest tips I have for you to be prepared as we head towards the end of the fall semester. I wish you all the best of luck with your upcoming finals! As always, feel free to comment below if you have any advice on end of the year preparation!
