Final Night of Fund Drive 2014
Written on April 28, 2014
The final night of 2014 Fund Drive began around 11pm on Saturday night. Animals in Human Attire from Milwaukee, WI took the stage and began an energy filled, electrifying, set. Animals in Human Attire (AIHA) had six players on the small stage in the Pub last weekend, but still manages to have a great time moving around. It was not uncommon for members to be playing in the crowd throughout their time. Memorable moments include when Bass player, Myles Coyne began to play on the bar tables at the Pub. The whole band was fun and down to earth. Hopefully the Indie rock band will (or their other collective bands) be coming up in September to jam out with us again! Overall they were a thrilling way to kick start the night.
Calliope pronounced (CALL-EYE-OH-PEE), a revival rock group from Milwaukee, Wisconsin as well, began playing around midnight and the Pub soon after became packed. At one point there was even a line to get into the Pub. They are a four piece band that played a dynamic set of music. Their music kept the crowd eager to hear more of their songs. Animals in Human Attire’s members could be found right next to the stage supporting their fellow musicians. Like AIHA, their vibrancy played off those in the crowd and a good time was had by all. Between the two bands, the night was filled of music and fun.
Thank you to everyone involved in Fund Drive 2014! The bands were amazing! The Pub for all they did to make this possible. The sponsors for contributing to the event. The station staff for all the hours put in. And last but not least, those of you who went out to Fund Drive! There will be more fun stuff coming in the fall. Thanks again and Stay Tuned!
