How to pick out fresh toppings for a pizza

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying the beginning of fall. Today I will be talking about how to pick out the best pizza toppings to make your pizza as flavorful as possible. Some pizza toppings to take into consideration are; pepperoni, sausage, chicken, mushroom, onions, basil, spinach, bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, feta, fresh mozzarella, whole milk mozzarella shredded cheese, and pizza sauce. When assessing what toppings you need, see if you can go to a local farmers market for fresh veggies. This not only supports local farmers, but also makes your pizza unique from everyone else. Not to mention, the flavor is extravagant because its local, fresh veggies. When looking for meats make sure they have no antibiotics and preservatives. Try to find local farmers, or buy from a trustworthy grocery store. The best way to make sausage is to buy pork sausage unseasoned and season it by yourself. This way you know what your putting into it and you can taste it to make sure it tastes fantastic. Some seasonings and spices that can be put into your sausage are, paprika, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, fennel, onion powder, garlic powder and salt and pepper. Pepperoni you can buy from a food chain supply like greco or restaurant depot. Chicken can be bought locally or from a store. To make good, tasty chicken I season it with steak seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. This makes chicken taste so scrumptious! The next and most important topping I want to talk about is CHEESE. This ingredient is the most important because it makes the pizza taste creamy and delicious, and everyone loves cheese (especially in Wisconsin). Whole milk mozzarella is the best cheese to use for wood fired pizza. This is because other cheese like skim milk cheese will burn to fast in the oven because the wood fired oven temperature is so high. Local feta and fresh mozzarella is amazing for pizza as well. Finding local and fresh toppings will make your pizza unique and taste even better than it looks!

    Hello!
I love the idea of seasoning the chicken with steak seasoning. I never really thought to do that but it sounds like it would taste really good. I also like a lot of vegetables on my pizza so incorporating all of the vegetables mentioned is important to me to have the best tasting pizza! Pizza is one of my favorite foods so this blog is awesome.
