Will Hall of Presidents Open Before the End of the Year?

Liberty-Square-25

Here is an article I found on the Dis.com. I found it interesting and brings up some good ideas about the Hall of Presidents.

Give it a read and let me know what you think.

Shortly after President Trump’s inauguration, many Walt Disney World park goers became curious of when his audio animatronic representation would be added to the iconic Hall of Presidents attraction in the Magic Kingdom. Earlier this year, we were given the rough time frame of “Late 2017.” As we approach the end of the year and the attraction remains closed, it is becoming reasonable to question…what the hell is going on?

This topic could obviously become political very quickly; in this article, I will refrain from pushing it there. The intent of this article is simply to question Disney on how much longer we are expected to wait.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Overview

Here is an overview I found on the Dis.com about the Animal Kingdom. Theres a lot to this park. Its very big so its important to know where to go and whats what. Animal Kingdom has my favorite rollercoaster. Can you guess which one?

On April 22, 1998, Disney unleashed its newest theme park on the world in the form of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Whatever you do, don’t call it a zoo (they get touchy about that word around Animal Kingdom).

This newest venture marked a departure from what Disney had been turning out in the way of theme parks for many years.  Any park banking its success on “edutainment” was bound to have issues, and Disney knew it. Epcot proved it was effectively kryptonite for children, and Disney was challenged to make sure that Animal Kingdom didn’t suffer the same fate.  In spite of some of its early preachiness (and some unfair press about animal care at the park)- Disney’s Animal Kingdom opened to generally good reviews.

Will Toy Story Land Be Any Good? A Sneak Preview from Hong Kong Disneyland

tsl-1-2

Im super excited for Toy Story Land! Toy story was probably my favorite movie growing up. Check out this article posted on the Dis.com about the new land and the already existing one in Hong Kong.

When I heard the D23 Expo announcement that Hollywood Studios‘ Toy Story Land would be opening in the summer of 2018 (only 3 years after it was first announced), it impacted me in a way that might be different from other folks.  Instead of being excited, I started to get very worried.  That’s because I have experienced Hong Kong Disneyland’s Toy Story Land, and honestly, I wasn’t that impressed.  The fact that our Toy Story Land could be put together so quickly makes me feel like it might be pretty similar to what I saw in Hong Kong. Epcot

600-spaceship-earth3

So, Epcot is 100% my favorite park. It doesn’t have the best rides. its not the biggest park. Its the idea and the theming that is so great. From walking around future world or even around the world. Epcot has a little something for everyone in the family. Epcot is a full day park so here is an article from the Dis.com to tell you a little more about Epcot.

Epcot, the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, opened in 1982. It was conceived by Walt Disney to “take its cue from the new ideas and new technologies that are now emerging from the creative centers of American industry.”

Epcot consists of two themed areas, Future World and World ShowCase Future World features attractions that focus on energy, communication, the land and our environment, the ocean, imagination, transportation and space exploration. Read the rest of this entry »

The DIS Unplugged

One of the most frustrating things about not living close to Walt Disney World is not feeling connected to everything going on there. One way I have figured out is to watch Vlogs and other shows on YouTube. One of my favorite shows is The DIS Unplugged. The DIS is all about news and goings on in the parks and with the Disney company. The shows are an hour and a half long and is filled with lots of Disney World news and info. This really gives me the feeling of being connected to what is happening at Disney World. If you’re feeling like you need more of a connection or even if you are going on a trip soon it would be a good idea to check out these videos. The DIS is also a Podcast too with weekly episodes. dis-unplugged-album-artwork-disney-world

Magic Kingdom Overview

Magic Kingdom is the most classic park at Disney World. It is always the park I go to First then go to last. Its not really Disney without it. Heres a little overview on the Magic Kingdom from the Dis.com

Check it out!

It has often been said that the true essence of Disney magic can be experienced simply by stepping foot inside the Magic Kingdom. Opened in 1971, the venerable theme park has withstood decades of changing cultures, a constantly shifting social climate, and an explosion of technology that has left lesser places outdated and obsolete. Yet, somehow, the Magic Kingdom continues to remain the undisputed king of theme parks, drawing more yearly visitors than any other.

Art Of Animation Hotel Review

Disney’s Art Of Animation Resort is truly a work of Art. It’s Disney’s newest resort, opened in 2012. Not only does it offer vibrant and whimsical surroundings but its rooms are so very comfortable, practical and really, REALLY smart.

Vacationkids LOVES resorts that caters to larger families. The brilliant floorplan design of the family suites in the Nemo, Cars and Lion King sections will accommodate a family of 6. Actually it will allow a 7th if it’s a baby under the age of 3. (Little mermaid standard rooms will only allow 4 people plus a baby under 3).

Besides space for bigger families, parents get a room with a door to allow for a little privacy and romance. If all this isn’t enough, family suites here offer not one but TWO full bathrooms to accommodate extra guests. There are also TWO TVs to avoid arguments and  a mini kitchen with a small fridge, microwave and mini sink. While parents will love all of these conveninces at an affordable price, kids will LOVE the room decor inspired by classic Disney characters and movies.

Walt Disney World Resort catagorizes all 20 of their resorts into categories….value, moderate and deluxe.  Because Art of Animation has a value pricetag but offers a few more features liked story themed rooms and mini kitchenettes, this resort is classified as a Value PLUS. This means a bit more bang for your vacation buck.

The main public building of Disney’s Art Of Animation is called Animation Hall.  This building holds the main lobby, check in, business center, The Landscape Of Flavors Food Court (open 6am to Midnight), The Ink & Paint shop and The Pixel Play Arcade. There are also laundromat facilities throughout the property (fee) as well as playgrounds for the kids.

If there are any considerations parents need to make it ….

The Art of Animation is very stroller friendly and has elevator access for guests. It is a HUGE property, very spread out covering of over 87 acres.  Bring comfortable shoes.

Many guests head to the pools at night after returning from the theme parks. Pool areas were loud and active late into the evening. If you have little ones with early bedtimes you may prefer a room on the opposite side of the building away fromt he pools. We can REQUEST specific rooms but please know these requests are based on hotel availability and can never be guaranteed.
