Shelters to the Rescue

This week’s “Dog and Cat of the Week” comes from Safe Harbor Humane Society in Kenosha County, Wisconsin. Safe Harbor is the only open admission animal shelter in its area and has been serving Kenosha for over 100 years. Besides providing care for thousands of cats, dogs, and other small animals, they offer low cost vaccine clinics, low cost spay/neuter services, low cost pet supplies, and City of Kenosha pet licenses.

This week’s dog of the week is…Blu!

Blu is a little over one-year old and would make the perfect companion for anyone. He has proved to be the most loyal dog, and would rather snuggle than play a game of fetch. Blu can be shy at first, but will warm up to you with some hugs and treats. He can be a mellow pup, but gets overly excited with cats.

This week’s cat of the week is…Maybelline!

Maybelline is close to twelve-years old and has been at Safe Harbor for under a month. Her inviting eyes and snuggly appearance, make her the perfect possible pet for you. She has the spunk of a playful kitten, but is always up for a nap.
