With Halloween right around the corner, The Haunting of Bly Manor seemed fitting because it’s one of Netflix’s eeriest shows at the moment.
From the creators of The Haunting of Hill House, the Netflix series The Haunting of Bly Manor follows a very similar style of a scary, unsettling, and eerie story about spirits roaming around the grounds of Bly Manor.
The living residents of Bly Manor include siblings Flora (Amelia Bea Smith) and Miles (Benjamin Evan Aimsworth), groundskeeper Mrs. Grose (T’Nia Miller), Owen their cook (Rahul Kohli), their gardener Jamie (Amelia Eve), and lastly the newest guest Dani Clayton (Victoria Pedretti) who is Flora and Miles’s Au pair. Flora and Miles lost their parents at a very young age and later on lost their other Au Pair, Miss Jessel (Tahirah Sharif). Dani Clayton was hired by the kids’ uncle Henry Wingrave (Henry Thomas). As Dani begins to settle in at Bly, she slowly starts to notice strange occurrences on the grounds while also learning about its past. We the viewers then begin to learn about the truth of Miss Jessel’s death, what happened to Peter Quint (Oliver Jackson-Cohen), and why Mr. Wingrave never visits Bly Manor.
Since the show is by the creators of The Haunting of Hill House, again you get witness several spirits lurking in the background of many scenes in the series. There has yet to be an official guide to finding every ghost, so this time there won’t be a link.
If you enjoy dark, scary, and mysterious shows, then I highly recommend this series. However, with some scenes you might have to watch through your fingers. If you want to know more about the show, then here are some links to learn more.

Lauren,
I am not a big fans of horror shows. I do like mysteries though. I also like a good storyline, so I could get into this series if it has a developed story and not just a series that is meant to scare you. I may check this show out!

Hi Lauren!
I love me a good scary movie or show, especially this time of year! It’s like a love/ hate relationship. Most of the scary movies I watch are watched through my fingers! Thank you for recommending this series! I will definitely check it out.
