From the creator of American Horror Story, Ryan Murphy, this Netflix series tells the tale of the well-known book and movie character Nurse Ratched.
Ratched is a recent addition to the many Netflix original series. Released on on September 18, this eight episode story experiences dark twists, unsettling ways to try and “fix” patients, and characters’ mysterious pasts being revealed.
Viewers watch as Nurse Ratched (Sarah Paulson) works at a mental hospital in California where patients with ranging mental illnesses while trying to work her way to power against Nurse Bucket (Judy Davis), the head nurse. She makes sure to stay on Dr. Hanover’s (Jon Jon Briones) good side in order to have some control over the hospital. However, the real reason she forced her way into working at the hospital was due to a murderer being sent there to be analyzed. Edmund Tolleson (Finn Wittrock) is waiting to be put to death because of his past crimes of killing several priests.
So far, the show has received positive reviews and will most likely be renewed for a second season. If you can handle swearing, torture, and graphic scenes that pertain to death, blood, or sex, then this show is for you. If you know American Horror Story, then you can expect the same layout for Ratched because Ryan Murphy is behind both works.
Since the show is fairly new, there are only a few other reviews at the moment. If you are interested and want to know more, here are some links for reviews and the trailer.

I saw this on Netflix and I thought it looked good but I continued to scroll and didn’t think anything of it, but after reading this I will definitely start watching especially since a second season is looking likely to happen.
