Quick Fix: Resizing Jean Shorts
This is something I am very new to within the DIY world. I have been trying to find new and easy ways to fix different types of thrifted finds. Here is one of the most popular trends when fixing thrifted denim. First You are going to cut down both sides of the shorts. Then you are going to measure how much you want to take off and mark the line. From there you will hot glue along the line. After this you are going to fold over the excess fabric and hot glue it down facing the backside of the shorts. Fold the jean shorts back to normal and the…

Hair Care Update pt.4
I have been using the rice water for quite awhile now. There have been a lot of upsides to this journey but also a few downsides. My hair does feel a lot stronger and fresher than it ever has I will give it that. Something that is not talked about enough when going into this process though is how bad the rice water gets to smell and the feeling of your hair while it is in. These were two unpleasant things that I wanted to make people aware of since I have been mostly raving about this treatment. If you do try the rice water treatment make sure to do…

eyelash and eyebrow treatment pt.2
I have started to see some major changes within my eyebrows and eyelashes over the past few weeks. They are starting to grow in a little ticker and they just feel overall stronger. I think I am going to try to apply the castor oil every other night and see how that effects the process.

Thrifting tips pt.2
Set an amount limit before you go to the store. This will prevent you from over spending and the items you put back will probably be there the next day. Bring headphones so you can listen to music while shopping. For me this is a MUST. Shopping is so much more fun when there is a soundtrack going along with it. Make sure you’re checking your clothes when shopping. It is easy to see something cute and miss a few stains that were more noticeable than you realized. Have a Pinterest board of clothes you want so you have a plan of what you’re looking for at the thrift store.

Camping Tips pt.2
Always have water. I cannot stress this enough alway make sure that you have enough water and more for whatever trip you are planning. If your shoes get wet you can dry them with dirty clothes and they will be all ready for you the next day! Make sure you keep all of your food tightly sealed. Spills happen often and are not fun to clean up. Bring reusable utensils if you are going to a place with running water. It is a lot better for the environment. Always make sure to check out what the campsite you’re staying at is offering. There could be some really fun things on…

eyelash and eyebrow treatment pt.1
Over the past week I have started to use castor oil in my eyelashes and eyebrows. This is another tik tok trend that I had to try out and see if it works for myself. I brush it on every night before bed with a spoolie brush. I haven’t seen any crazy results since I started using it but I am excited to see if it actually works. I do suggest that if you try this trend you should be careful when applying the castor oil to your eyelashes. It doesn’t necessarily hurt when it gets in your eyes but it is uncomfortable. Another tip to go along with the…

embroidery pt.1
Lately I have been getting into embroidery. Since I do not have any type of sewing machines I do everything by hand. This can hurt at times but being able to control all the little details is worth it to me in the end. The first thing I did was decide what I wanted to embroider on. I decided on a white pair of high top converse that I had never really gotten use out of. From here I went on Pinterest in search for the perfect idea. I came across a flower design and fell in love. For my project all I needed was string, a sewing needle, and…

Hair Care Update pt.3
The rice water has completely changed the way my hair feels. It has only been getting stronger and shinier as I go through the hair treatment process. I am really thankful I found this trend and am excited to see what the rice water does next. From what I have seen some of my split ends have started to either fall off or repair.

Thrifting Tips
The first thing to know when being someone who wants to start thrifting is that it takes time to get into a flow. I used to think I was so bad at thrifting and just way to impatient to find the things I want. Once I got a few months in it was like I could spot the things I wanted so much easier. A second tip I have for you is to always check the jewelry. This is something I didn’t even look at until about 6 months in thrifting. There are some amazing pieces and one of a kind finds. A third tip I have about thrifting is…

camping tips pt. 1
Always make sure you bring extra blankets and warm clothes. No matter where you are it gets cold at night. Bring foods that can easily be concealed and aren’t difficult to pack away. Not only is this better because of animals but also at the end of the night people often forget to pack a few things away. The less things you have the less likely you are to forget. Bring things to pass the time. Even though the quiet of camping can be relaxing it also can get to be a little boring. By bringing card games or sports equipment you can be active while also having a good…
