Jordan Moncivaiz is the RA on 4th floor Lee. He is a third semester RA. Jordan is a senior with a biology major!

His favorite sport is tennis. Jordan loves the Warhawks and Maroon 5. His favorite place to eat is Ike Schaffers.

Dream Job: a career where I’m constantly impacting someone’s life (I’m not quite sure what I’m doing yet)

In the future: I see myself having a masters degree and hopefully being out of the Midwest

Why did you become an RA?: I became an RA because I wanted to become a role model for underrepresented students on campus

My favorite thing about being an RA, is having the opportunity to see students grow and develop with knowing that you have helped them.

Involvement: I am in Latinos Unidos, Club Tennis, Hawk Squad, and a member of Lambda Alpha Upsilon Fraternity, Inc.

Advice for other RA’s:  Do not let your residents get too comfortable with you to the point where they don’t respect your authority There is a thin line between being their friend and their RA.

“A resident one time slipped a note underneath my door. The note said that I have helped him so much transitioning from high school into college. The note also said that he was grateful to have an RA like myself that’s not judgmental and was passionate about the job. This just goes to show that us RAs may not know the impact we have on our resident lives, but when little things like this happens it goes a long ways.”
