October’s Best!
RA of the Month – Lawrence Bell
Cambridge/Fox Meadows RA – Our staff has nominated Lawrence Bell as the RA of the month because he is always around helping residents and fellow RAs out. LB always has his door open, and usually has a resident in his room either helping them with a problem or just chatting. Lawrence is always in a good mood and always putting the residents and other staff members first. He goes above and beyond what is expected, for example he took duty for homecoming weekend and Halloween weekend.
Bulletin Board of the Month – “Coexist” by Lawrence from Cambridge/Fox Meadows
Cambridge/Fox Meadows Bulletin Board – I want to nominate Lawrence’s bulletin board for the month of October. Cambridge, Fox Meadows, and Starin were assigned the topic of diversity, so Lawrence created this “coexist” bulletin board. It is bright and colorful, which makes it stand out. It’s also one of those boards that you have to stop and look at because it’s hard to read at first glance. I’ve seen a lot of people stop and read the entire board, and I know Lawrence took a lot of time to create this awesome board!
Program of the Month – “Roll It Up, Hash It Out…Not Tryin’ to be Blunt!”
Lee Program of the Month – I nominated “Roll It Up, Hash It Out…Not Tryin’ To Be Blunt!” a marijuana awareness program that was put on by Sam Krueger and Betsy Jordan! It consisted of a scavenger hunt of paper marijuana leaves that contained facts about laws on marijuana, consequences of getting caught by the police and ResHall violations, and some effects it has on the human body. We had about 15-20 residents show up for it! There were cupcakes and a raffle for three prize bundles as well!
