Dr. L. Roger Yin is a Professor of Information Technology in the College of Business and Economics at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, USA. Roger also co-direct the Cybersecurity Center for Business at UWW. Dr. Yin is the recipient of Hermsen Teaching Award of 2015-16 of the business college at UW-Whitewater. Roger, a first-generation college graduate, grew up in Taipei city and earned a B.E. in Environmental Engineering from National Chung-Hsin University in Taiwan. He holds both an M.S. and Ph.D. in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University, Bloomington. Dr. Yin was a Visiting Teaching Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in the summers of 2000 and 2001. Roger has been actively involved in information technology activities for more than 20 years including work as Developer, Manager, Consultant, and Educator. Dr. Yin has published more than 40 refereed journal articles and presented more than 50 papers in national and international conference on and related to Information Technology. From 2006 to 2009, Dr. Yin was elected and served as President of Organizational Systems Research Association, also a SIG affiliated with AIS. Roger specializes in cybersecurity management, IT governance, healthcare IT, and e-learning for professionals. When he is not working on academic functions, Roger is a passionate music lover and enjoys producing and recording live acoustic concerts of classical, jazz, folk, and blues performance.
