Leitz Get Married

Often times, being part of a wedding party can be a daunting task.  One could even argue that just the thought of being an integral part of a wedding ceremony could throw nervous shivers down one’s back.

Over the past weekend, two people joined together in the town of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin to become husband and wife.  The beautiful, rustic confines of Villa Buonincontro was the site of the special day for not only the groom and the bride, but for the wedding attendees as well.

Tucked away in the gentle countryside, Villa Buonincontro provided for an entertaining weekend.  The festivities for the wedding party began on Friday afternoon with introductions between both sides of the wedding party.

With the official wedding ceremony slated to start less than 24 hours from the start of the rehearsal, everyone in the wedding party knew it was time to crack down and get serious.  After the introductions and icebreakers were completed it was finally time to rehearse the full duration of the ceremony.

A cold, cloudy afternoon proved to be a surprisingly perfect environment for the rehearsal.  With the 16 members of the wedding party shivering and wondering when the rehearsal dinner was to start, the rehearsal was efficient and fast.

The start of the rehearsal dinner saw the time for the groom to make a toast to the families and significant others of those in the wedding party.  Chris Leitz, the groom, made a magnificent toast that left the room elated.  “Thank you to everyone here, making this weekend so special,” said Chris.

Before the dinner came to an end, the bride, Anne Leitz, made sure to deliver gifts to all the members of the wedding party.  “These gifts are just a little something to say thank you for being a part of our wedding,” said Anne.

The day of the wedding, Saturday Sept. 29, saw another cold and cloudy day.  Yet, as each member of the wedding party made their way to the venue, a sense of relief was among them.  The day they finally see their brother, sister, friend, or cousin tie the knot, was upon them.

The ceremony began at 3 p.m. and before anyone knew it, there was now a newly married couple about to host a dinner and party for their closest friends and family.  The reception was about to lend hand to an unforgettable night.

An amazing dinner that was enjoyed with many laughs and tears of happiness brought upon by the speeches of the father of the bride, best man and the maid of honor, saw everyone in the room come together as one.  The entire room was now feeling a sense of solidarity as the music was about to start to the tune of the first dance as husband and wife.

The rest of the night was filled with conversation, dancing and lethargy.  The long day of a special wedding had come to an end.
