Hi everyone! Today was a beautiful day for hiking! The 9.19 mile loop was invigorating and gorgeous! We each brought backpacks filled with water and snicky snacks 🙂
Nordic Trails part 2!
Hello! For my next quest, I will be adventuring to the Nordic Hiking and Skiing Trails again!
Last time I went here, my friend and I completed the orange loop: 2.6 miles.
This Sunday we are going to hike the blue loop: 9.19 miles! It is the biggest loop at this park.
Normally I like to quest on Fridays or Saturdays but since my friend isn’t available until Sunday, I won’t be hiking until then. I will update the quest log shortly after the quest!

Paradise Springs!
Paradise Springs was beautiful! Unfortunately they weren’t done renovating it completely. The nature trail is .5 miles. We walked around the area and hiked down connected paths. I got a tick bite!!!! That was the first one that ever buried itself…it was scary!

Hello! So Friday my friend and I ventured to Paradise Falls and found out it is closed for renovation until October 20th 🙁

First Blog, woo!
Hello and welcome to my blog! I’m Crystal Wilhelm and my blog is going to focus around hiking in Southern WI (and sometimes hiking in Northern IL.)
Each quest will be accompanied by a stats sheet, filled with various stats such as miles hiked, animals seen, rocks collected, etc. I am also going to have a point system in place, to make this blog into a game! I am going to add more stats and figure out the point system as I quest along.

1 mile = 1 point
1 piece of trash = 2 points
Next week and in the future, I will post twice: the first post will be announcing where I’m going next and preparing for that, the second post will focus on the actual quest. My future posts also won’t be consecutive like this first week.
Tomorrow I shall be adventuring to Raceway Woods, Carpentersville IL. I will blog about it tomorrow night, can’t wait!
