Frozen Fruit Bowls

This recipe I’m about to share with you guys is one of my favorites, and probably the one I make the most often. Frozen Fruit Bowls are so easy to make, it’s heckin rediculous.

The three main ingredients you will need are:
-a blender
-coconut or almond milk
-frozen fruit (of your choice)

The best part about this recipe is it is so versatile, and you can customize it to be whatever you’ve got a craving for! Usually strawberries and bananas are the go-to for smoothies, but I’m allergic to strawberrries, so obviously I won’t be making that version. For mine, I chose to do a “tropical” theme. I used frozen bananas, mangoes, and pineapple.

All you have to do for this recipe is put in your desired frozen fruits into the blender along with coconut or almond milk. I persoanlly find coconut milk to be tastier with this recipe, even though I prefer almond milk in my cereal. Anyways, I don’t have an exact measuremant to use for the coconut/almond milk. I’d say I used about 1/2 cup of coconut milk, but I like my smoothies to be less thick. That’s another way this recipe is so versatile, you can adjust the “milk” quantities to fit to your liking!

Once you’ve pureed your frozen ingredients and “milk” to the consistency you like, the next step is as simple as pouring the contents into a bowl. Then you can top your smoothie bowl with any toppings you like! For my smoothie mix of bananas, mangoes, and pineapples, I opted to top my bowl with granola and raspberries. I’ve seen other recipes where they have added almond butter to their topping choices, which sounds like it could be really tastey! I’ll definitely have to try that one one of these days.

This recipe is so fast and easy to make. You could make it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snack time! You can even make a big batch of it to save some for later (just make sure it doesn’t go bad!) I’ve certinaly found this to be a great alternative for when I have a sweet-tooth craving, it still gives me the sweetness I want but it is MUCH healthier for me (and the animals) than chocolate!
