Accessibility in Action: Digital Accessibility 101
Learn the basics of Digital Accessibility and how to apply them to your course materials. The workshop will cover high-impact practices to improve digital accessibility and how to incorporate these guidelines into course materials. We will discuss font, color contrast, headings, alternative text, links, lists, tables, captioning, and transcription.
Session Outcomes
- Identify and remediate inaccessible design in course materials to enhance comprehension for all students.
- Evaluate existing course materials using accessibility-checking tools and guidelines to identify potential barriers and areas for improvement.
Participants are encouraged to bring in their laptops or tablets.
