Five 6-Packs

1. Spotted Cow – New Glarus Brewing Company There is no denying that this delicious beer should be on this list. Shortly after its birth, Spotted Cow quickly became a staple of Wisconsin beer. The beautiful blonde pour that this creates is a classic sight for ever Wisconsinite. It makes sense the beer is so popular, because it is really out to please everyone. There is really no hop taste, but don’t that turn you away if you are an IPA fan – there is plenty of flavor packed into the cow. Plus, everyone needs a little break from the hops once in a while. Visit New Glarus’ site for more information. More Info 2. IPA – Lakefront Brewery Yes, of course there is going to be an IPA on this list, but I’m not just playing favorites with this choice. Lakefront Brewery deserves a spot on this list with their IPA. Somehow they have figured out how to create a hoppy beer that few can resist. A perfect example… my girlfriend tries all of the beers that I order or buy, no matter how stinky of an IPA it may be. I brought home this 6-pack, cracked open a bottle, and she tried a sip assuming she would not like it. To our surprise, this wonderful beer not only pleased my taste buds, but she also liked sipping on it. For more information, visit Lakefront Brewery’s site. Week 2 – Oberon Ale

Oberon Ale by Bell’s Brewery      As we begin to enter the brisk mornings of Wisconsin’s fall season, throwing on a simple pair of jeans, boots and a warm sweater seems all too familiar. What is important to remember is that there are still some of those random hot days that bring us right back to summer nights. If you find yourself in that situation yet this year, this American Wheat Ale is the perfect beer to celebrate the last heat waves of the season. What is especially refreshing about this beer is the fruity aroma you get with every sip. Don’t let the beautiful blonde pour trick you into thinking that this beer isn’t full of flavor. Sure, it may not pack as much taste in it as a whole Thanksgiving meal, but Bell’s Brewery hit the nail on the head with this fruity summer ale. Brewery: Bell’s Brewery Location: Kalamazoo, MI Style: American Wheat Ale ABV: 5.8% Availability: 6-pack/12-pack Bottles, 6-pack 12oz Cans, 4-pack 16oz Cans, Mini Keg,...

Week 1 – Fantasy Factory

Fantasy Factory by Karben4      Do you find yourself fantasizing about that special someone? lazy weekends? sugary sweets? After your first glass of this dirty India Pale Ale you may find yourself fantasizing about the next time you’ll be lucky enough to sip on this beautiful beer. When I was first new to the IPA scene, I would choose some beers to try solely on how cool the label is. Lucky for me, my eye caught the glorious cat upon the magnificent fire-breathing, golden-haired unicorn. After cracking off the signature Karben4 bottle cap, the first sip of this beer will hop you on the hop train and head straight for Hop City! Be ready for a crazy ride you can’t help but want to try again. Brewery: Karben4 Location: Madison, WI Style: India Pale Ale ABV: 6.3% Availability: K4 Taproom, Draft,...
