Using the forum is like most forums online and follow a general pattern:

1. First, search the forum for key terms for what you'd like to ask or post -- make sure it's not already there before posting.
2. Second, choose an appropriate sub-forum to post in. Currently, we have "General questions," "Coding," and "Hardware." Pick the one that's most appropriate for your questions or post.
3. Third, post your question providing as much detail as possible. This helps responders quickly get to a solution and to not waste time following up with additional clarification questions.
4. Cross your fingers and hope someone has an answer!

Note that there is an option to upload files or images to help convey your issue. Screen captures of errors are particularly helpful along with cutting-and-pasting any Arduino code that you need help with.
