I am continuously looking for ways to help out my local community. From the ages of 9-11 I volunteered on the weekends at a local animal shelter. I have also worked at a vacation bible school, assisting in trash cleanups in Starved Rock (pictured above), gone to workshops like Feed My Starving Children, and helped clean up invasive species in DeKalb, il. Along with environmental cleanups, I have also been a student notetaker for my history classes. I am looking forward to doing more volunteer work, and hope to do so in the form of a mission trip.
