1. Spotted Cow – New Glarus Brewing Company
There is no denying that this delicious beer should be on this list. Shortly after its birth, Spotted Cow quickly became a staple of Wisconsin beer. The beautiful blonde pour that this creates is a classic sight for ever Wisconsinite. It makes sense the beer is so popular, because it is really out to please everyone. There is really no hop taste, but don’t that turn you away if you are an IPA fan – there is plenty of flavor packed into the cow. Plus, everyone needs a little break from the hops once in a while. Visit New Glarus’ site for more information.
2. IPA – Lakefront Brewery
Yes, of course there is going to be an IPA on this list, but I’m not just playing favorites with this choice. Lakefront Brewery deserves a spot on this list with their IPA. Somehow they have figured out how to create a hoppy beer that few can resist. A perfect example… my girlfriend tries all of the beers that I order or buy, no matter how stinky of an IPA it may be. I brought home this 6-pack, cracked open a bottle, and she tried a sip assuming she would not like it. To our surprise, this wonderful beer not only pleased my taste buds, but she also liked sipping on it. For more information, visit Lakefront Brewery’s site.
3. 312 Urban Wheat Ale – Goose Island Beer Company
When I first tried this beer, it was completely random, and I had no idea what I was getting myself into. When getting a 6-pack from the store to share with a friend, this wheat ale should be your first choice. Not everyone thinks to choose the wheat ale, but after 312 you will be searching for it everywhere you go. This beer has gained a lot of attention and rightly so. There isn’t much more to say except – if you haven’t tried this beer, get to the store, put it in your cart, buy it, and drink it. Visit the company’s site for more information.
4. Kaleidospoke – Next Door Brewing Co.
This beer is not as widely know as the first three, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t any less deserving of being on the list. American pale ales are somewhat of an acquired taste – similar to IPAs. The best thing with most things in life is to try it before you bash it, and this beer is no different. I recommend that every beer drinker out there give this glorious creation a try. The beer is tasty and the name and label are just as impressive. For more information about Kaleidospoke, visit Next Door’s site.
5. Hopdinger – O’so Brewing Company
Last but not least. It is worth noting that this list is in no particular order, because this beer isn’t even close to the bottom of any list when talking about beer. Sure, I may be a bit biased but this beer is absolutely delicious. From the first sip to the last you will go on a journey. It doesn’t matter if you are an IPA fan or not, there is no denying that this beer is packed with flavor that becomes irresistible after the first sip. You may never order the beer again, but you won’t be able to say that it wasn’t very, very yummy. For more information, visit O’so’s site.
