{"id":966,"date":"2016-03-17T14:36:53","date_gmt":"2016-03-17T19:36:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/warhawkfitness\/?p=966"},"modified":"2016-03-17T14:36:53","modified_gmt":"2016-03-17T19:36:53","slug":"will-you-continue-post-ironman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/warhawkfitness\/2016\/03\/17\/will-you-continue-post-ironman\/","title":{"rendered":"Will You Continue Post Ironman?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/warhawkfitness\/files\/2016\/03\/ironman.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-967\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/warhawkfitness\/files\/2016\/03\/ironman-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"ironman\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/warhawkfitness\/files\/2016\/03\/ironman-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/warhawkfitness\/files\/2016\/03\/ironman.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Today I completed the Indoor Ironman, here on campus.\u00a0 As it came to an end I thought to myself, will I continue to push myself as much as I did this past month?\u00a0 Will you?\u00a0 Then I thought, why wouldn\u2019t I.\u00a0 This past month I had never been so dedicated to my fitness and health.\u00a0 I don\u2019t know if it was the Ironman or with spring break, but either way I have noticed so many changes in myself just in this past month by being determined to complete this Ironman.<\/p>\n<p>So my answer to you is yes.\u00a0 I will continue to hit the gym post Ironman and be focused on my fitness.\u00a0 Again, will you?\u00a0 To tell you the truth, going into my first Indoor Ironman I was nervous.\u00a0 I thought to myself, could I really do this?\u00a0 Could I push myself to complete 26 miles of running, 112 miles of biking, and how could we forget the 2-mile swim?\u00a0 I ultimately did this Indoor Ironman to prove to myself, yes Karlee you can complete all this.\u00a0 As the first couple of days went by the self-doubt came in and out.\u00a0 Half way through the realization popped into my mind that I can do this and I will complete this.<\/p>\n<p>I have notice a happier me.\u00a0 Going to the gym daily and getting a full workout and knowing I\u2019m completing my goal could not be more fulfilling.\u00a0 If this \u201csimple\u201d task has brought me this much happiness, why wouldn\u2019t I continue to do it.\u00a0 A happier me equals a healthier me.\u00a0 Being happy is a big part of your overall health.\u00a0 Why would you ever stop something that makes you happy?\u00a0 Why would you ever stop something that makes you healthier?<\/p>\n<p>Endless to say I will continue to push myself at the gym like I have this past month.\u00a0 It may not to be for a free t-shirt anymore, but it will be for a better me.\u00a0 I encourage all of you to also push yourself like you have this past semester, because I know it has to make you feel good on the inside and outside.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to all who completed the 10<sup>th<\/sup> annual Indoor Ironman!\u00a0 If this year wasn\u2019t your year, continue to work hard and find that inner strength for next year because you can do it!<\/p>\n<p>I hope you learn. I hope you laugh. I hope you never stop.
