It\u2019s not the most exotic way to spend it, but I\u2019m not going to let that get me down. I have a day or two to myself, and my number one plan is to go hiking somewhere, and hopefully experience a bit warmer weather. I found <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/rootsrated.com\/stories\/the-10-best-hikes-in-wisconsin\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">an article that<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> talked about some of the best places in Wisconsin. \u00a0I\u2019m going to rank the top three that I want to visit most! <\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3.) Devil\u2019s Lake<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/warhawkfitness\/files\/2019\/03\/devils-lake.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1630 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/warhawkfitness\/files\/2019\/03\/devils-lake-300x203.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"242\" height=\"166\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cTrails up to and atop the east and west bluffs lead to rock ledges and breathtaking views of the lake.\u201d &#8211;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rootsrated<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Devil\u2019s Lake has some of the best hiking in Wisconsin, because of the wonderful view you get across the lake. Both the East side and West side have spectacular views. While the hiking is a bit difficult for some, I am hoping for a great hiking picture to post.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2.) Kettle Moraine South Unit<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/warhawkfitness\/files\/2019\/03\/kettle.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1631 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/warhawkfitness\/files\/2019\/03\/kettle-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"235\" height=\"159\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe outer Scuppernong loop is narrow, rocky, and sandy in spots, and is shaded by hardwood and pines for most of its course. It crosses the Ice Age Trail twice before reaching an overlook.\u201d &#8211;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rootsrated<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kettle Moraine is another place to hike that everyone likes, because it\u2019s relatively easy to hike at. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alltrails.com\/parks\/us\/wisconsin\/kettle-moraine-state-forest-southern-unit\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alltrails.com<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has dozens of 5-star reviews. It\u2019s a wonderful trip, because the scenery is sure to put you in a peaceful state of mind. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1.) Quincy Bluff and Wetlands State Natural Area<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/warhawkfitness\/files\/2019\/03\/quincy.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1632 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/warhawkfitness\/files\/2019\/03\/quincy-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"244\" height=\"166\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You\u2019re as likely to see a wolf or bobcat than another hiker here.\u00a0\u201c &#8211;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rootsrated<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Quincy Bluff is a pretty far drive from here but is the most ambitious one on the list. It\u2019s about 20 miles north of Wisconsin Dells, and has a nine-mile course that has no amenities. I wanted to go for the challenge, but also the feeling of being so far away from any human construction. It\u2019s a nice thing to get away from it all and relax in nature. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I have to set aside a getaway day during my spring break to finally try out the trails I\u2019ve been pining to see. Staying fit while on vacation is tough, so hopefully you can manage to fit some in.
