{"id":1002,"date":"2016-05-02T02:00:32","date_gmt":"2016-05-02T07:00:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/warhawkfitness\/?p=1002"},"modified":"2016-04-27T14:18:21","modified_gmt":"2016-04-27T19:18:21","slug":"1002","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/warhawkfitness\/2016\/05\/02\/1002\/","title":{"rendered":"Note to Self"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I recently found a picture with a quote on Pinterest and it made me stop and think about what it was truly saying.\u00a0 Take a minute and read it to yourself below.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/warhawkfitness\/files\/2016\/04\/note-to-self.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1003\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/warhawkfitness\/files\/2016\/04\/note-to-self-217x300.png\" alt=\"note to self\" width=\"217\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/warhawkfitness\/files\/2016\/04\/note-to-self-217x300.png 217w, https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/warhawkfitness\/files\/2016\/04\/note-to-self.png 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 217px) 100vw, 217px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After I read it, I broke it down and really evaluated each aspect from it.\u00a0 I wanted to share my thoughts and ideas with all of you.\u00a0 I realized how important it is to really love yourself and treat your life with a healthy mentality.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Treat yourself the way you would treat a small child.<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>If you think about it, you treat a baby with the best affection, nutrition, love and safety that you can give.\u00a0 As we grow up we lose that mentality.\u00a0 Yes, we are older and do not need as much care as a child does, but we should still be treating our bodies better.\u00a0 You are always protecting a baby\u2019s skin.\u00a0 This includes the soap and lotion you use, and always applying sunscreen.\u00a0 Are you keeping up with that?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Feed yourself healthy food.\u00a0<\/strong>This is pretty self-explanatory.\u00a0 You feed your pets the best food, why wouldn\u2019t you feed yourself with the best nutrition.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Make sure you spend time outside.\u00a0<\/strong>Another one we grow out of.\u00a0 It is so important to spend time outside and inhale in some of that fresh air.\u00a0 There is so much to do outside, even if it is doing your homework.\u00a0 Take an hour each day and enjoy the beautiful weather mother nature has provided you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Put yourself to bed early.\u00a0<\/strong>As a college student I can understand this can be difficult.\u00a0 Learn to manage your time better so it allows you to get into bed at an earlier time.\u00a0 It is so important for your health to get the right amount of sleep each night.\u00a0 We all know what a good night\u2019s rest feels like, give yourself more of those.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Let yourself take Naps.\u00a0<\/strong>Yet another thing we grow out of after kindergarten and one we all wish we could do more of.\u00a0 Stop feeling guilty for giving yourself a nap here and there.\u00a0 At times its truly needed and can turn your entire day around.\u00a0 You take that nap and don\u2019t feel bad about it for one second, most likely you deserved it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Don\u2019t say mean things to yourself. <\/strong>Positive self image\u00a0is so important.\u00a0 When you learn to love yourself, others will love you even more.\u00a0 Every person out there has something amazing about them and when you realize what that is so many more doors will open and so many more lights will start shining.\u00a0 Stop degrading yourself and start loving yourself.\u00a0 No one can love you before you learn to lover yourself.\u00a0 You are beautiful.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Don\u2019t put yourself in Danger.\u00a0<\/strong>I know being in your 20\u2019s it\u2019s all about taking risks, but let\u2019s start taking the right risks.\u00a0 For example, apply for the internship that is against the best competition or stand up for yourself or someone else. \u00a0Put yourself in good situations and in positive environments.\u00a0 It\u2019s not cool anymore to be putting yourself in dangerous situations, but let\u2019s be honest was it ever really cool?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u201cYour skull and your heart are still as fragile as eggshells.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Love yourself and treat yourself the best way you know how too.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I hope you learn. I hope you laugh. I hope you never stop.
