Hello friends! My name is Julia O’Connor. I am a junior here at Whitewater studying Public Relations and Spanish. I really love spending time with my family and friends whenever I can. I also really like DIY crafty things like painting canvases! Like most college students, I work a lot, I enjoy my free time, and I am doing my very best to live a healthy lifestyle!

So here’s a little bit more about me; I grew up in Crystal Lake, Illinois and have always been a fan of the Chicago Blackhawks. I have two sisters who I love more than anyone else. I am also very fortunate to have amazing role models like my parents. They have definitely been my biggest fans for the past 20 years and I am so grateful to have them in my life. My first year of college was not as easy as I had hoped it would be, but it did push me to find myself. I quickly became involved with the Warhawk Fitness family as a fitness supervisor in University Fitness and soon after I found my way to the PR team. I am also a Resident Assistant in Wells East, the Social Media Intern for Housing, and on the Executive Board for National Residence Hall Honorary. I feel truly blessed to have gotten the opportunity to work with so many wonderful organizations alongside some of the best people I have ever met.

I am not a member of this team just for the paycheck. My goal is to inspire students like myself to lead a healthier lifestyle. I hope to remind people that being healthy does not mean that you have to be the strongest person in your friend group. Wellness is a widespread topic that spans from physical health to your emotional well-being. Trust me when I say that I have struggled with making my personal wellness a priority in my life. I completely understand how hard it can be to get to the gym or to talk about what’s bothering me while it’s still a problem. That being said, I truly believe that once you start leading a healthier lifestyle, you will begin to become an overall healthier person! I am still growing in my love for fitness and personal health, and I am really enjoying the journey.

|Stay motivated and don’t give up. Amazing things will happen|
