Hello! I’m Alena Purpero, and before I give you my spiel let me tell you a few basic facts about myself. I grew up in Muskego, Wisconsin and am the middle child with two brothers. Despite common assumptions that I would therefore be a tom boy, I am as obnoxiously girly as it gets. I have an unconventional obsession with mermaids, the ocean and aquatic animals. That being said I hope to soon be scuba certified so I can add it to my list of things I like to do for fun, which currently consists of biking, kayaking, paddle boarding, jet skiing, tubing, rock climbing and lastly skydiving of which I have only done once but plan to do much more of. Lastly, I was on the swim team in high school and still enjoy doing it for a workout. As far as other exercise goes, I also enjoy yoga, Zumba, PiYo.
When it comes to obtaining a healthy life style, I believe that there are a few key qualities that come into play for maintaining it. Having a positive attitude, knowledge, and motivation are three important factors in being healthy. I’ve come to realize this within my own learning experience, and I’ve gained a lot from trying to figure out what being healthy really means. This being said I want to share what I’ve gathered about how to be the healthiest and happiest version of yourself with you all. Nutrition and fitness has a special place in my heart and I enjoy sharing that passion with others. I hope to help others learn as much as I have on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and to portray encouragement, advice, and optimism while doing so!
