\"fruiht\"<\/a>It is the College\u2019s pleasure to welcome a new faculty member to the University of Wisconsin \u2013 Whitewater.\u00a0 Veronica Fruiht has <\/strong>recently been hired\u00a0in <\/strong>our Department of Psychology.\u00a0 Veronica graduated from California <\/strong>Polytechnic University with a BS in Psychology and\u00a0has a master’s degree in Positive Developmental Psychology from the\u00a0Claremont <\/strong>Graduate University\u00a0where she is currently completing her PhD.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Here is some interesting information about Veronica:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Hobbies:\u00a0 <\/b>I’m a crafty-type and have been the resident seamstress, designer, and cupcake baker in my research lab. Now, I am looking forward to all of the DIY projects that come with a new home! I am also excited to explore a new set of hiking trails and campgrounds in the area.<\/span><\/p>\n

Research:\u00a0 <\/b>My research focus is on hope. In particular, I’m interested in how to build hope and goal-setting skills among adolescents and high risk college students. I also study mentoring relationships and their impact on college student success.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Personal Life: <\/b>No spouse or kids, but I look forward to seeing what my pudgy calico cat Barley thinks of snow.<\/span><\/p>\n

Interesting Facts:\u00a0 <\/b>I’m a California native and have never lived or driven in the snow before. I appreciate your patience in advance.<\/span><\/p>\n
