Gene Mueller, Telecommunications Technician, has announced that he will be retiring from UW-Whitewater. His last day on campus\u00a0is planned for\u00a0Thursday, Feb. 24.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Gene joined UW-Whitewater in 1995.\u00a0 He is\u00a0well known for working closely with customers to understand their telecommunications needs and to provide solutions that fit both needs and budgets.\u00a0\u00a0 During his time,\u00a0Gene\u00a0successfully managed the campus-wide Centrex installation, in addition to numerous specialized departmental phone systems.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0He also worked closely with Facilities Planning & Management (FP&M) and later as a member of iCIT\u2019s Cabling Team to manage and expand the telecommunications and data communications cabling infrastructure on campus.\u00a0 His vast knowledge of campus infrastructure and many years of experience will be missed by both iCIT and the UW-Whitewater campus.\u00a0<\/p>\n
