Q: What do you do \u2013 explain how you fit into ICIT?<\/p>\n

A: It\u2019s week 5 for me as the Instructional Faculties Project Coordinator so I am still learning more and more about my role here at UW- Whitewater. Mostly, I\u2019m going to be working with the team to help facilitate and coordinate AVIT projects. I am also working with Shelly to learn more about his role with the Distance Education (DE) Room. My hope is that I gather all of his advice, wisdom, and knowledge before he retires!<\/p>\n

Q: What is something people don\u2019t know about you?<\/p>\n

A: I went tandem skydiving twice a few years back. The first time went great and it took us about 20 minutes total to land on the ground safely! The second time, my main parachute did not open. After finally deploying the backup, we landed safely on the ground. Total time was about 5 minutes! All they could say was, \u201cyou\u2019re now part of a very small statistic \u2013 the likelihood of that happening again is slim to none. So, do you want to do another jump?\u201d<\/p>\n

Q: Favorite hobby?<\/p>\n

A: Anything with my dog, Dierks. I take him everywhere with me. This is a picture of us ice fishing up north.<\/p>\n

\"2\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Q: What was your first job?<\/p>\n

A: I started working at a bakery when I was 14. I got to eat all of the left over goodies at the end of the day! I guess that made up for getting minimum wage.<\/p>\n

Q: What\u2019s your favorite piece of technology?<\/p>\n

A: I would have to say all of the awesome controls they are putting on vehicles these days \u2013 Bluetooth, hands free, remote start, etc. Makes my life so much easier!<\/p>\n

Q: Tell me something interesting about yourself.<\/p>\n

A: I\u2019m very Irish and am proud of it, but I hate corn beef.\u00a0 I\u2019m hoping to make it to Ireland sometime soon!<\/p>\n

Q: Do you have a special talent?<\/p>\n

A: I can do the \u201cworm\u201d \u2013 please don\u2019t ask me to prove it\u2026it\u2019s been a while!<\/p>\n

\"3\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Q: What is your guilty pleasure?<\/p>\n

A: Reality TV \u2013 try to stay away from it, but I always end up getting sucked in. Right now it\u2019s Duck Dynasty and Keeping Up with the Kardashians.<\/p>\n

Q: Favorite TV Show?<\/p>\n

A: Of all time: Friends. I own all 10 seasons and watch reruns regularly. Always puts me in a good mood!
\nCurrent show: Homeland.<\/p>\n

Q: Music genre?<\/p>\n

A: Country! Hence why I named my dog Dierks (after Dierks Bentley). \u00a0I listen to it constantly and go to every concert I can! \u00a0Here is a picture of me and Dierks Bentley!<\/p>\n

Q: What is your theme song?<\/p>\n

A: Good Ole Days \u2013 Phil Vassar<\/p>\n

Q: Favorite vacation?<\/p>\n

A: My husband and I went to Costa Rica last May for our Honeymoon. It was amazing! I love the rainforest; especially zip lining over Lake Arenal at 660 ft in the air!<\/p>\n

Q: Favorite food?<\/p>\n

A: Chips and salsa \u2013 I eat it on a daily basis and never get sick of it! I buy salsa in bulk from Sam\u2019s Club!<\/p>\n

Q: Have an insane spur of the moment story?<\/p>\n

A: This is one of those \u201cyou\u2019ll look back one day and think this is funny\u201d stories.
\nAs I was leaving my wedding reception, I was walking down a huge flight of stairs, tripped on my huge dress, and fell in front of everyone that was left at the reception! My ankle was 4 times the size the next morning and I couldn\u2019t even begin to walk on it. I ended up going into the doctor a few days later to find out I had fractured it! Here we are, 6 months later, and I still have some issues with it!<\/p>\n

Q: Biggest fear?<\/p>\n

A: The ocean – specifically whales and sharks. The movie Free Willy gives me nightmares. However, I am fascinated with sharks! Shark week on the Discovery Channel is one of my favorite weeks of the year. I once received a shark coffee mug as a gift\u2013 it has people swimming in the ocean and when hot liquid is poured into it, sharks appear!<\/p>\n
