What does an average day look like working in the UC?  What are your day to day responsibilities?<\/strong>
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the Warhawk Alley Program Assistant my role oversees several aspects of Warhawk Alley including: daily reporting, supporting and empowering student staff, working this student and community organizations, overseeing daily operations and Warhawk Alley marketing and events planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


What does being a UC employee mean to you?<\/strong>
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being a UC employee means being a great mentor to our student employees while holding myself to highest level of integrity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


What has been the most memorable\/unusual day working in the UC? <\/strong> 
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of my most memorable weeks while working for the UC was the 60th Anniversary Celebration. This celebration allowed me to dig deep into the
history of Warhawk Alley, and the men\u2019s and women\u2019s bowling teams. I also had a wonderful time helping coordinate our 60th Anniversary Bingo night which held over 100 students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is one piece of advice you can give to current UW-W students?<\/strong>
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One piece of advice I would like to share is get to know your professors. I believe UW-Whitewater is truly special place because so many professors
enjoy getting to know their students. Make great connections with two-three professors to help you network, and provide letters of recommendation for you in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is an accomplishment that you are most proud of?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

An accomplishment that I am most proud of is leading the Women\u2019s bowling team to the NCAA National Championship three consecutive years (2013, 2014, 2015). Women\u2019s bowling is an NCAA National Collegiate sport, which means all three divisions compete together for the same national
championship. In 2014 and 2015 the team finished as a National Semi- Finalist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


What is your favorite item in your office\/desk?  Is there a story behind it?<\/strong>
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think the favorite item in my Warhawk Alley Office is a poster of a kitten saying \u201cHang in there\u201d. This poster has been in the Warhawk Alley Graduate\/Program Assistants office for years, and I am not sure where it came from. I like it because I am a huge cat lover, and this year I really valued and taught me team to \u201ccontrol the controllable’s.\u201d If something happens out of your control, you just need to hang in there until there is a positive solution.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
