She told me about LEAP (Liberal Education &amp; America&#8217;s Promise), the main focus of her internship, and I felt a connection.\u00a0 Later in the summer, Khloe informed me how a new intern position had opened up, and there was a possibility we could end up working side-by-side.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-1439\" alt=\"Khloe\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/ucinfo\/files\/2014\/01\/Khloe.jpg\" width=\"61\" height=\"91\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Khloe:\u00a0<\/strong>After interviewing Ilona for the position my supervisors and I discussed whether she would be the right fit for the job or not.\u00a0 I had urged the hire because I knew we would work well together and have a blast doing it.\u00a0 Once I got the go ahead to give her the good news, I called right away!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1779\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/ucinfo\/files\/2014\/11\/twoofakind.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1779\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1779\" alt=\"Working hard!\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/ucinfo\/files\/2014\/11\/twoofakind-300x271.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"271\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1779\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Working hard!<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Working together has been just as expected, an array of excitement!\u00a0 The two of us get along well; we are like the Mary-Kate and Ashley of the office.\u00a0 The best part is that each and every day we look forward to heading in to work, even if it is down pouring rain or Wisconsin cold.<\/p>\n<p>But believe us, sometimes it can be a challenge working with someone you are so close with.\u00a0 Just like every job, there are stressors which can cause us to butt heads.\u00a0 Or, if we are having too much fun we need to remind each other to keep it professional and stay on task.<\/p>\n<p>Despite these challenges, working with a friend who understands you and balances your strengths and weaknesses is rewarding.\u00a0 Keep this in mind if you are going to be working with friends because you are definitely going to be spending a LOT of time together.<\/p>\n<p>&lt;3 KI<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ilona:\u00a0At the end of the Spring Semester Khloe informed me that she had applied for an internship on campus.
