As Halloween starts to creep up on us, it’s time to start thinking about ways to throw a frighteningly, amazing Halloween party! From festive decorations and spooky snacks, to wicked games and activities, we’ve got you covered! There are so many different ways to celebrate Halloween but here are some pointers to create fun and lasting memories with your family and friends during the holiday!
There are many different elements that you can use to decorate your Halloween-themed party. Here are just a couple ideas that you can try! Putting spider webs on walls and doors can make your party feel festive and spooky! Other decorations you can use for your party are hanging bats and ghosts. Hanging these decorations can give the illusion that the bats are flying in the air and the ghosts are floating around! You can also put eye-shaped glow-in-the-dark stickers on the walls to give a creepy vibe to your party! Using Halloween banners, balloons, and streamers with Halloween colors (black, orange, green, red, purple) can also make your party look festive!
I think it’s a pretty universal rule that if there are snacks at a party, it’s going to be a good one! A spooky snack to try out are Graveyard Brownies. To make these frightening snacks, bake some brownies and add small gravestones with “RIP” written on them to make it look like a graveyard! Another snack you can make are Witch Finger Pretzels. These are basically chocolate covered pretzels made to look like a witch’s finger! Pumpkin Patch Dirt Cups are another fun and festive snack to bring to the table. These are dirt cups with pumpkin-shaped candies put on top of the dirt cup to look like a pumpkin patch! You can also make Blood Red Punch with hand-shaped ice to keep the punch feeling cool while looking eerie!
A great element for your Halloween party is having fun games and activities! One activity that you can play is a costume contest! Halloween is a time when everyone can be anyone they want to be! Have your guests come to the party dressed up in a costume. At the end of the night, have everyone vote for their favorite costume to see who wins! Another fun activity to play is a pumpkin carving/decorating contest! This is a great way to get creative during the holiday (and they can also be used as decorations)! Watching your favorite Halloween movies together is another great way to celebrate the holiday, as well!
Now that you’ve got some Halloween party ideas in your head, go out and throw a great party for your family and friends! These are just some of the many ways to throw a bone-chilling Halloween party!
