Updated Dining Website

There are a lot of dining updates for the fall 2019 semester. A’viands has developed a new website that will help inform students about upcoming events and provide wellness information in regards to the dining program. There are new features on the website. Including a new toggle feature on the Drumlin & Esker Dining pages, allowing students to toggle to the exact day that they are looking for an online menu. BeWell Wellness Program

A’viands is excited to announce the implementation a new wellness program in each of the dining hall called BeWell. BeWell was created to make it easier for you to choose healthful dining options. Each BeWell menu option will be identified by a blueberry icon.  The symbolization of this icon is derived from the blueberry being a small, yet powerful fruit, making it the perfect symbol for healthy eating.  The blueberry icon represents our company’s commitment to being small enough to care and big enough to make a difference. Mongolian Grill

Drumlin Dining Hall has improved Mongolian Grill to offer more variety throughout the week. During the lunch period, the deli bar station and daily grilled favorites will be returning this school year. Exciting weekly specials will be implemented as follows to keep a variety in rotation: Monday: Sandwich day, Tuesday: Fiesta day, Wednesday: Breakfast day, Thursday: Slider day. Mongolian grill will return for dinner Monday – Wednesday.

Sauté Station

In Esker Dining Hall, the Wok Station will be renamed the Sauté Station. It will feature an assortment of different items daily to add additional variety at Esker Dining Hall.  Our campus Culinary Team will be creating a recipe guide for the Wok Station to guide you when you are cooking at the station and provide unique and healthful meal options.

Meatless Mondays and Tofu Thursdays

In both Dining Halls, the Foundations station will be taking on a twist to its daily menu. Foundations is a station which houses a healthy protein, carb (brown rice, sweet potato, white potato, or quinoa), steamed vegetable, and a vegan option for those with allergies or those with a vegan diet. This station will be featuring Meatless Mondays and Tofu Thursdays to add additional options for our vegan community on campus.

Hot Meal Options at Drumlin Sandwich Shop

We are very excited to announce the addition of hot sandwiches at Drumlin Erbert and Gerbert’s! There will also be hot grab and go options available for breakfast in the convenience store for a breakfast option on the go.

Be Body Positive

Our campus Dietitian, Rachael Omdoll, has created an empowerment group for college students to promote the self-love we all need. Through an eight-week workshop, the Be Body Positive program teaches individuals to reconnect with their inner body wisdom so they can unlock their full potential , and live their life with more joy and purpose. The goal of this program is to help students develop balanced and loving relationships with their whole selves. This program is guided by love, forgiveness, and humor in teaching people to love their body the way it is. Learn to love yourself for who you are! Meetings will be held in Winther Hall – Room 2013 every Friday from 11:00am to 12:15pm, Sep. 27th through Nov. 15th. There are only 15 spots available. h’EAT & Fire

The concept that was previously known as “Olive” has been replaced in the University Center by h’EAT & Fire. h’EAT features a Build Your Own Pizza station which allows customers to customize their pizza. h’EAT will be offering dairy-free vegan cheese and gluten free crust as some of the countless menu options. Fire is a fast-casual grill concept that will feature grill favorites like burgers, tator tots, chicken tenders and more. See the full menu here:
