The lone score of the third quarter was a 44 yard FG by the Lions to bring the score to 17-3. The Lions did fumble in the third quarter and it was recovered by the Packers, but they were unable to come up with a score on the drive.

The fourth quarter turned out to be much more eventful than the three prior. The Lions scored a TD early, but the Packers responded with a TD of their own with Hundley bringing it into the end zone on a one yard run bringing the score to 20-10 Lions. Unfortunately, the Lions struck back with another TD with eight minutes left in the game. Score 27-10 Lions. The action took a halt from there until just after the two-minute warning when Detroit hit a 31 yard FG making the score 30-10. Despite the score though, Green Bay did not roll over and scored a TD in the final seconds of the game bringing the final score to 30-17 Lions.

I’m not sure about you guys, but I was hopefully that with the BYE, our team would come back well-rested, well prepared, and ready to roll. That however, was definitely not the case last night. The Packers looked flustered and broken as a team and the play calling was questionable in terms of utilizing Hundley who is supposed to be our trusted QB.

Some struggles we faced this week were avoidable flags, questionable play calling, and missed opportunities to score such as the missed field goal and coming up with no points on a fumble recovery.

It was evident however, that Hundley is capable to run the ball when given the chance. It also seemed that no huddle is a better route for Hundley.

There is clearly some work to do to be prepared for next week. Here’s hoping for better games to come.

Go Pack Go!

-KQ

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?! It’s a Monday night party!
