Happy Monday after a Green Bay victory Packers fans!
It’s been a while since we’ve seen a W and man does it feel good! It was a nail biter, but a win is a win! Not to mention our playoff hopes are still alive AND Aaron Rodgers has been cleared to play Week 15 against the Carolina Panthers! Does it get any better?
Enough of the depressing recaps! Here is a positive one.
The Buccaneers started off the game with the ball and struck early scoring a touchdown on their first drive making Packers fans everywhere think “Here we go again”. The Packers were able to fight back with a field goal on their first drive to chip away at the deficit making it 7-3 Tampa. With only two possessions by each team, the first quarter finished with the 7-3 score.
Early in the second quarter, there was still some cause for concern for Packers fans as Brett Hundley threw an interception. Luckily, the Buccaneers were unable to score on the opportunity given to them and the Packers took that missed opportunity and turned it into motivation to start playing hard. The Packers scored a touchdown in their next drive and three minutes later, recovered a fumble and returned it for ANOTHER touchdown giving the Packers a ten point lead. Tampa didn’t lay down though, and were able to put three more points on the field before the half. Halftime score: 17-10 Green Bay.
In the 3rd quarter, Tampa was the first to put second half points on the board with a field goal late in the third quarter making it 17-13 Packers. The Packers went three and out on the following drive and Tampa responded by marching downfield for a touchdown to take a three-point lead.
In the 4th quarter, the Packers were able to come up with a field goal to tie things up with 2 minutes remaining in the game. The Packers D came in clutch forcing Tampa to punt on a 3 and out with just under a minute left to play. The Packers were unable to score in the time remaining so this thing went to OT with the season on the line.
The Packers got the ball first in OT and in the moment of truth, Green Bay rushed downfield and struck hard ending the game with a TD. Final Score: 26-20 Packers.
So the season lives on and our playoff hopes are still alive! Remember Packer fans, from here on out every game is a must win or the post season will not be possible. Cheer hard. Anything is possible.
As always,
Go Pack Go!
