But&#8230; a lot of the times people don&#8217;t know <em>what to recycle<\/em> or if something is <em>able to be recycled or not<\/em>. To end this confusion and worry that I know we are all having, below is going to be that mystery list that contains what CAN and CANNOT be recycled!<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I some found interesting information on ecoscapes.com. They had 3 general guidelines that I thought would be beneficial to share:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><em><span class=\"s1\">Recycle all bottles, cans, and paper<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><span class=\"s1\">Keep items relatively clean<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><span class=\"s1\">Don\u2019t mix plastic bags in with the rest of your recycled items<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With that said let&#8217;s go over the DO&#8217;s and DON&#8217;T!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>DO RECYCLE:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Plastics\/Bottles: <\/strong>This includes any plastic bottles or containers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Paper and Cardboard: <\/strong>This includes cereal boxes, snack\/cracker cardboard boxes, phonebooks, magazines, mail (recommend to take your information off first), all paper, newspaper, and cardboard.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Metals:\u00a0<\/strong>This includes tin, aluminum, and steel cans.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Glass:\u00a0<\/strong>This includes food containers, jars, soft drink containers, beer, wine and liquor bottles.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0773\/5915\/files\/do_recycle_pics_1024x1024.jpg?11603324968684048363\" alt=\"do recycle items\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>DON&#8217;T RECYCLE:\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Loose Plastic Bags:\u00a0<\/strong>This includes plastic shopping bags and plastic stretch wrap.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Polystyrene Foam Cups or Containers:\u00a0<\/strong>This includes egg cartons, take out containers and drinking cups.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Soiled Food Items:<\/strong>\u00a0This includes food soiled containers and soiled paper products.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Others:\u00a0<\/strong>This includes broken or sharp glass, fast food packaging and plastic utensils.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0773\/5915\/files\/Dont_Recycle_1024x1024.jpg?2916595117341476832\" alt=\"Don't Recycle Items\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">About 70% of our trash can be recycled<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">We only recycle 30% \ud83d\ude41<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">LET&#8217;S CHANGE THAT!!<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Start recycling!!!!<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"irc_mi aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/discoverfoodtech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/reduce-reuse-recycle-620x327.jpg\" alt=\"Image result for reuse recycle reduce\" width=\"500\" height=\"264\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A lot of Americans are now recycling which is great!
