Meet Chewie and Blake

Published by at 12:00 pm under Dog and Cat of the Week

This week’s “Dog and Cat of the Week” comes from the Washington County Humane Society (WCHS) in Slinger, WI. WCHS was formed in 1960 when twenty-seven people who were concerned about the well being of animals got together. It began as a volunteer organization that responded to calls about lost or stray animals. The group grew and has become a member of the Wisconsin Federated Humane Societies. They have accomplished so much over the years and will continue their work for many years to come.

This week’s dog of the week is…Chewie!

Chewie

Chewie is 6-year old Pit Bull Terrier looking for his forever home. Chewie is a loveable, sociable guy with a huge sense of adventure. His sense of adventure was too much for his family to handle, so he was brought back to the shelter. He did learn how to take treats gently and is house-trained. Chewie will do better in a house that has a female dog friend. If you don’t have a dog, feel free to adopt one when you get Chewie!

This week’s cat of the week is…Blake!

Blake

Blake is a 3-year old talker that loves attention. He can by shy at first, but once you show him love and attention, he will warm up quickly. He loves to be scratched, but will also lay by your side when you want to relax.

If you are interested in adopting this adorable dog or charming cat, stop by the shelter and fill out an application!
