It&#8217;s all just well-intended guesswork. Social media monitoring is more than an advanced analytic. It operates like pulse check that humanizes essential data. Freberg (2022) says monitoring not only depicts how content performs, but it helps us to understand our target audience&#8217;s genuine reaction to it. A brand can throw content at the wall and hope something sticks, but that inherently creates a high risk for the ROI we aim for. Monitoring can illustrate viewer&#8217;s emotional responses, and present opportunities to mitigate crisis from missteps, or capitalize on successful viral sensations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My response to my boss would be to remind them that monitoring is, in essence, an investment that protects our other communications investments.
