Academic’s at UW-Whitewater should always remain the student’s focus while at college.  A couple tools that are especially helpful through a student’s journey include the LASSI and MAP-Works.

LASSI is a Learning and Study Strategy Inventory that many academic coaches use to identify challenges that a student may be struggling with at college.

MAP-Works is a retention tool that reaches beyond just simply academic struggles and focuses on the whole student.  With this tool, we can identify the struggles a student might have with school such as fiscal, roommate, academic, social, or other struggles.
