Another door dec tutorial coming your way. With April upon us and hopefully spring right around the corner (very skeptical about this one this year) we should be seeing some more rain in the weeks ahead. Who can forget the April showers bring May flowers.
Supplies you will need:
- Scissors
- Paper (I chose white and a variety of blues)
- Glue (I went with hot glue because of it’s fast drying time)
- String
Instructions:
- Cut out the number of clouds you will need for your floor. You may do this in a variety of ways: die cut clouds, printed template or free hand. I did it free hand for the purpose of this tutorial but I would use a die cut if I were making them for a floor.
- Next cut out your water droplets. Triple or quadruple up on the paper and start cutting them free handed. The variety in color and size make them look unique.
- Cut your strands of string that will allow your rain drops to fall from your cloud. Make these vary in length.
- Once everything is cut you can start gluing it all together. As assembly style process may work the best. First attach the strings to all of your clouds, then go back and attach your rain drops.
- TIP: Try not to stack these as they are likely to tangle with each other.
There you have it your very own April shower.
