These businesses love to provide not just for their local community but also the students on the college campus. One of the businesses in Whitewater that interacts greatly with the students is Barista Cats Caf\u00e9 & Sanctuary. This local cat cafe is a popular place for students to visit off campus during their free time with many students calling it their favorite place to go. The cafe offers a variety of drinks for customers but their biggest draw for people are the dozens of cats that run around the building, sleep in their boxes and play with their toys. The cafe prides itself on being a place for students to come to to relax instead of places that can be harmful such as the town’s bars. The reason this place is so popular among students is because of how often it’s talked about on campus. The owner, Natalie Serna, says that their biggest promotional material comes from word of mouth among students. Additionally the businesses have done promotional stands on the campus of Whitewater offering free visits for students when they book an appointment to spend some time with their cats.
