The Packers are off to a hot start this year with a record 6-1 and a blowout this last week against the Raiders. The Packers week 8 match-up is against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football in Kansas City. Based on the spread, the Packers are 4.5 point favorites against the Chiefs in Kansas City mostly based on the fact that Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is out this week after suffering an injury last week. This is obviously a big deal, because Mahomes is the reigning NFL MVP from last season. The Chiefs replacement for this game will be veteran quarterback Matt Moore who has a lot of experience playing in the NFL as a back-up quarterback but he doesn’t have a lot of experience leading a team as the starting quarterback. The Packers look to continue their hot streak and move their record to 7-1 against a good chiefs team that is missing its starting quarterback. A loss to a team without their starting quarterback would for sure be an issue. The Packers will most likely be without star receiver Davante Adams for a 4th straight week, the Packers have been fine without him, but he would be a nice addition back to the team for the match-up against the Chiefs. I believe even without Patrick Mahomes playing for the Chiefs it will still be a close game. My prediction for the score will be the Packers winning 31-24 with another solid performance from Aaron Rodgers and the Packers defense. Have a great weekend and see you on Wednesday for a game recap. Go Pack Go!
