The packers and their fans were very hopeful going into week 4 undefeated, and playing at home on a Thursday night against a struggling Eagles team. It started off well as the Packers defense got a stop right away in the first quarter. The Packers offense quickly drove down the field and scored immediately following the defensive stop on a 3-yard touchdown rush by Packers running back Aaron Jones. Following another defensive stop, the Packers offense got to work again and had a promising drive but ended up being stopped at the Eagles 12-yard line. They then opted for a field goal from Packers kicker Mason Crosby and made it 10-0 with 14:01 left in the 2nd quarter.

Following the Packers field goal, the Eagles struck back quickly. They had a short 2 minute drive down the field and Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz threw a touchdown pass to receiver Alshon Jefferey. After this point the Eagles never really looked back and the Packers defense struggled to get stops following a scoreless first quarter from the defensive side of the ball. Following the Eagles touchdown the Packers drove down the field once again and opted for a 31-yard field goal by Crosby. The following drive for the Eagles ended in another touchdown pass from Wentz making it 14-13 Philadelphia. The Packers then didn’t score the following drive and gave the ball back to the Eagles offense, who once again drove down the field and scored on a 1-yard touchdown carry by Eagles running back Jordan Howard. The Eagles now led 21-13 with 1 minute left in the first half, but if anyone can drive down the field quick and score it is Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. In Rodgers fashion he did drive down the field in less than a minute and threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to receiver Geronimo Allison making it 21-20 with the Eagles leading at halftime.

The Eagles started off the second half scoring with a 21-yard touchdown pass from Wentz to Jordan Howard, making the score 27-20 Philly. Following the touchdown by the Eagles, the Packers offense scored again on a touchdown pass to tight end Jimmy Graham, making the score even at 27-27. The Eagles struck back immediately and made the score 34-27 on a touchdown run by Jordan Howard. The Packers offense then drove all the way down to the 1-yard line and failed to score on 4 straight plays, turning the ball over on downs, and giving it back to the eagles. From this point until the end of the game neither team scored, highlighted by the Eagles defense intercepting Aaron Rodgers in the end zone with 20 seconds left, thereby ending the game at a final score of 34-27 Philadelphia. The Packers move to 3-1 and the Eagles to 2-2. The Packers and fans are highly anticipating the week 5 match-up against the the Dallas Cowboys who are also 3-1 coming off of a loss to the New Orleans Saints.
