Following a great win in week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys, the Packers look to keep their momentum going in the week 6 match-up against the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football at Lambeau Field. The betting line for this game is currently sitting at the Packers as 4.5-point favorites to beat the Lions. In my opinion, betting lines in the NFL don’t mean that much because they are heavily dependent on who is the home team, which doesn’t always mean everything. The Packers have struggled over the last two years against the Lions mostly due to the fact that Aaron Rodgers has had injury problems over the last two years. But the Packers are hopeful coming off of a career game for running back Aaron Jones and just a great offensive performance overall. If they continue that and their defense plays well, I believe that the Packers will win this game quite handily, I would say by more than the betting line suggests. Not to mention, this game is a very important game for both teams as they are both a part of the NFC North, and the Packers are in first at 4-1 and the Lions are in second at 2-1-1. The Packers would have a pretty large lead in the NFC North only through six weeks if they can pull this win off this week against the Lions. Stop by next week for a game recap of the Packers week 6 match-up vs the Lions! Have a good weekend!
