{"id":131,"date":"2020-08-04T15:53:10","date_gmt":"2020-08-04T21:53:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/nonprofit\/?p=131"},"modified":"2020-08-04T15:56:44","modified_gmt":"2020-08-04T21:56:44","slug":"covid-19-impacts-on-wisconsins-nonprofit-sector","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uww.edu\/nonprofit\/2020\/08\/04\/covid-19-impacts-on-wisconsins-nonprofit-sector\/","title":{"rendered":"COVID-19 Impacts on Wisconsin&#8217;s Nonprofit Sector"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uww.edu\/cobe\/non-profit\">UW-Whitewater Institute for Nonprofit Management Studies<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/hbi\/\">Helen Bader Institute at UW-Milwaukee<\/a> are co-leading a statewide series of surveys of COVID-19 impacts on the nonprofit sector, a collaborative effort that includes a number of participating UW-system researchers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In April, the first of three surveys was launched, garnering over 500 responses from leaders in nonprofits from all regions. Institute Director Dr. Carol Brunt contributed to the production of the <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/hbi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/435\/2020\/05\/COVID-19-IFinal-051820.pdf\">first state-level report<\/a> released on May 18<sup>th<\/sup> and co-authored the Human Services sector-specific report.&nbsp; Megan Matthews contributed to the sector-specific report on how COVID-19 is impacting Wisconsin nonprofit Arts organizations, as part of the larger statewide research.&nbsp; One of the goals of a sector-specific report is to gain stories of how organizations within a sector are being impacted by COVID-19 financially, programmatically and in the area of human resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second survey is available through August 9 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/milwaukee.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_aYqpzrkbowSwcEB\">click here<\/a> to participate.
