Collective Intelligence

Collective Intelligence is another term that I had learned this week. The term refers to shared information that is created when people work together. Henry Jenkins talked about this topic in his interview and brought up the example of Wikipedia. As someone who uses Wikipedia regularly, I can see how this works as a great example of collective intelligence. People are able to pool together knowledge that other people can access. I have gotten a great deal of information off of Wikipedia and am thankful that I am able to access it.
