Transmedia Storytelling

One topic that I have become more aware of is transmedia storytelling. I was previously aware of this topic, but knew it under a different name, multi-media storytelling. I have seen different franchises try out this way of storytelling and find it interesting how well it can be implemented. I enjoy this style of storytelling, as it lets people experience a story in different ways. This can keep the story more engaging for people who are interested in it. Certain franchises nowadays have attempted to tell a coherent story across both film and television. I find it interesting how even some of the biggest franchises today rely on this form of storytelling.
