Oddly, even the electronic music still sounds like it belongs on a metal track, especially during Mastermind. The synth beat found in Vega Core keeps a quick pace. BFG Division is likely the heaviest song on the album, which alternates between three riffs for over eight minutes, with the other contender being Rip and Tear, which starts off with the most varied riff found on the album. There\u2019s also four audio files found in the game used to help set the atmosphere. Transistor Fist, SkullHacker, and Damnation all provide slamming drums and quick riff sections. There are a handful of \u201cfiller songs,\u201d such as The Stench and Residual, that are just ambient sounds found in between combat.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When talking about this album, I highly recommend finding the versions ripped from the game, because the six minute version of Rip and Tear is one of the greatest songs I have ever heard. It\u2019s a mix of heavy guitar, slamming drums, with plenty of kick, alternating with a demonic low alarm and growl. There\u2019s also plenty of alternate versions of Flesh and Metal, and other songs that were cut up to create the songs on the CD.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As someone who typically doesn\u2019t like synthesized sounds, I surprised myself when I found I liked this album. I think it\u2019s the pace of the songs that leads me to like the electronic sounds.
