KOD by jcole is a quick satisfying listen. K.O.D is an acronym that means Kids on drugs, Kill our demons, and King overdosed. This is important to know before going into your first listen of Jcole’s KOD because of this will help set the tone for the album. I found the album as a whole to be a rich raw experience through cole’s eyes. Some of the songs like BRACKETS, The Cut Off, and Window Pain are some of the most raw songs I have ever listened to. Jcoles album incorporates black power, discrimination, and his political views to form a beautiful album as a whole. Jcoles first appearance of his alter ego appears on this album as well going by the name kiLL edward. This album is worth the listen if you are a jcole fan or are just looking for new music.
