It is one to being an All Star in the NBA, but to win the MVP of the All Star Game as well. Giannis Antetokounmpo received the Kobe Bryant MVP Award after the game. Giannis was part of team Lebron for the game as they took the victory last night against team Durant. The final score was170-150. Giannis ended up going 16-16 on field goals and scoring a game high 35 points for the win. He has now set the NBA All Star Game record for most makes without a miss in an entire game after this performance. He banked in two three pointers throughout the game and quoted, ” You know, usually it is closed [on Sundays],” (ESPN). He was referring to the bank being closed, but for him, it was open in the after hours. Giannis has played in his fifth All Star Game now, and he continues his legacy and his passion for the game. Giannis had a great time at the All Star Game in Atlanta, and he was happy that his son could see him play. Bucks fans hope that Giannis can take this shooting percentage into the next game against the New York Knicks on March 11th. The Bucks currently stand third in the Eastern Conference with a record of 22-14.

I was quite surprised that Giannis won the MVP since Steph Curry and Damian Lillard were shooting so well in this game. This game was pretty entertaining even though it wasn’t that close of a game. Giannis had a really good game and hopefully he can transition this while playing next with the Bucks. I will say that half time dunk contest was really bad wish they had better players in the dunk contest.

I think Giannis showed just how good of a player he really can be. Sure it was an all-star game but Giannis was 3-3 from the 3 point line. The ceiling for Giannis is so high and I believe he can still reach that ceiling and break it. Giannis winning the NBA All Star MVP is just one more step in the positive direction after going 16-16 from the field how crazy is that. I think Giannis is also severely underrated this season but hopefully the league realizes his numbers are just as good as Lebron, Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic.
