We all have a list\nof things we have wanted to do in the past, but never found the right time to\ndo it. There is always an excuse of why we don\u2019t try new things and why we stay\nin the cocoon of safety that can be found in the routine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>What happens when we change the cycle?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What happens when we break out of the cocoon? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Sticking with the analogy of the caterpillar, after a\nbutterfly emerges, it doesn\u2019t fly right away. It is fragile. It is trying to\ngain its bearings in a new world. Some butterflies are able fly quicker than\nothers while some butterflies will seemingly remain motionless for an hour.\nWhen we try something different, We don\u2019t always take off right away. We can be\nill prepared, unsupported, or be unsure about what <em>might <\/em>happen and that\nuncertainty can stop us from experiencing life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>\u201cThe journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; -Lao\nTzu<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This blog is about taking that single step. To venture and dare to tackle tomorrow chore list. The find out what happens when you adopt the habits reserved for the healthy. The World Health Organization (WHO) defines health,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease of infirmity.&#8221;<\/p><cite><em>World Health Organization 2020<\/em><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>I want to explore that definition of health more in the\ncoming weeks and become a human guinea pig for the sake of breaking the mold. What\nare trends that we have heard are healthy, but never actually tried for\nourselves. Time appears to be the biggest constraint we often find tethering us\nto routine. It is hard to experiment when it costs the most precious commodity\nthat humans are allotted. What results\u00ad am I going to see in a week and what health\ntrends are actually worth it? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m sure you\u2019re wondering what counts as \u201cworth it.\u201d Well, I\nwill be taking on a series of health trends and judging them on a few\ncategories. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-pale-cyan-blue-background-color has-background\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li> What was the biggest change\/effects I noticed? <\/li><li> What were minor changes\/effects that occurred throughout the week?<\/li><li>Was this health habit enjoyable?<\/li><li> How can this health habit sustainable in the long term?<\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In the case of week one, the journey is going to begin with\na literal single step. One of the most common health habits that we are taught\nit working out. Time to test this habit out.
