I am probably one of the biggest procrastinators you will ever meet, but at least I admit it, right? This is something I have been trying to work on my whole life but it never seems to become easier for me. I like to say to myself that I get my best work done when I am on a time crunch, but I think that is just an excuse. So, this year that is one of my goals to help myself be better. I am nowhere near being perfect at this but I have learned some things that have helped me with being more one top of my work. To start off with is having a clean, enjoyable space to work in. At school in Whitewater I live in an apartment where I love my space. I have a desk, I try to keep it as clean as possible, and I love to keep it updated with decorations. I have created a space that I thoroughly enjoy living in. I mean it is a college house so I haven’t spent too much money on it, but it works for now. I like to wake up in the morning, light my candles or wax burner, make my bed, and open the window shades. I feel like this motivates me to sit at my desk and not my bed and get my work done. Of course, ROUTINE is so important for me, we know that so my morning routine really saves me some productivity. I feel like productivity and self-care go along really well. If you are taking care of yourself you just feel more productive, I mean I do personally. Keeping care of yourself and keeping yourself clean and healthy really helps with self-esteem and it helps getting work done. I cannot say I do this everyday because we all have lazy days but I also like to get dressed, do my hair, and put on makeup to keep myself feeling more productive. Especially with doing school from home and not leaving the house everyday this helps me with feeling like I am getting up for a purpose and then I don’t lay in bed everyday. Keep care of yourself everyone, especially with what this world is going through. Sometimes it is easy to get down on yourselves but, I think right now is a great time to test our limits and help ourselves grow each and every day.

Here is a quote from one of my favorite books that I often like to think about.

This week’s shoutout: My family, especially my parents.
